Dance Programs

Who's it for...

Our dance programs are designed for:

  • Children who are just beginning or exploring dance for the first time.
  • Dancers who want to build strong technical foundations and continue progressing.
  • Students interested in either a recreational program or a competitive team.
  • Adults who want to move, learn, and grow in a supportive environment, whether for enjoyment or more focused training.

Students come in at all different levels, often unsure of how to improve or what to focus on next. With the right structure and guidance, that changes quickly.

How Training Works

At Peak, dancers train within a clear and structured system that supports consistent progress.

Each class is designed to develop the skills that support strong dancing, including alignment, balance, strength, coordination, and musical timing.

Dancers are not just learning routines. They are learning how to move with control, how to retain corrections, and how to apply what they learn from one class to the next.

Classes are active and focused, with students participating throughout rather than waiting on the sidelines. Expectations are clear, and progress builds over time within a supportive and encouraging environment.

We work with a wide range of students and adjust our approach to support different learning styles, experience levels, and goals.

Recreational Dance

Our recreational program is designed for both children and adults who want to learn, move, and build skills in a supportive and structured environment.

Students develop coordination, technique, and confidence while enjoying the process of learning and being part of a class. With consistent training and clear expectations, dancers continue to grow at their own pace while feeling supported and engaged.

Peak Dance Competition Team

Competition Dance Team

Our competitive team is designed for dancers who are ready for a higher level of commitment and training within a supportive and team-centered environment.

Dancers train intensively, with a focus on technique, performance quality, and consistency. At the same time, we place a strong emphasis on respect, accountability, and how dancers show up for one another.

We are intentional about building a team culture where dancers feel supported, challenged, and part of something meaningful. Families can expect clear communication, thoughtful leadership, and an environment that balances high standards with care and professionalism.

Participation includes additional rehearsals, performances, and competition opportunities throughout the season.

Performance is part of the process

Performance

At Peak, performance is an expected and important part of a dancer’s development.

Dancers participate in regular performance opportunities throughout the year, including class-based performances and recitals, building confidence and stage presence in a structured and supportive environment.

As dancers progress, they begin performing in public settings with live audiences. Peak Music and Dance regularly presents productions where dancers and musicians collaborate as part of a larger performance experience.

Our dancers have performed at venues including the Palace Theatre, The Egg, local festivals, and community events.

Competitive team members also participate in national and regional dance competitions as part of their training and performance experience.

For dancers seeking expanded opportunities, the competitive team may also participate in select productions with Dark Ballet, Peak Music and Dance’s resident performance group.

integrated music and dance

Integrated Music & Dance Programs

Some dancers choose to expand their training through our integrated music and dance programs, where dancers and musicians train and perform together in shared classes.

These classes are co-taught by both dance faculty and professional music instructors, giving students the experience of working across disciplines while developing timing, coordination, and performance awareness.

Programs such as Sing and Dance Like a Broadway Star bring dancers into a more complete performance environment, where movement and music are developed together rather than separately.

These experiences allow students to grow as performers while working as part of a collaborative production.
